Tammy Botello has been a professional counselor for over 15 years. She is the owner & founder of Step by Step Counseling Center. Her educational achievements include a Bachelor of Criminal Justice from University of Texas-SA and a Master of Science in Counseling & Guidance from Texas A & M-CC. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. She is the proud mother of 4 children, including a son, age 26, twin daughters, age 18 and a baby girl, age 11. Her experience includes working as an adult & juvenile probation officer, hospital social worker, geriatric outpatient treatment counselor and opened her private practice in 2004 in San Antonio, TX. Ms. Botello areas of specialty include family counseling, teens, adults and cases that involve legal issues and require court representation. Ms. Botello also specializes in Hardship Evaluations for Immigration purposes and works in conjunction with local attorneys in creating the best “waiver packet” for the client.
Office Manager/New Patient Coordinator
Laura Botello is the office manager for Step by Step Counseling Center. She is a graduate of Victory Learning Center and is attending Northwest Vista Community College in efforts to obtain a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. She is also the New Patient Coordinator and handles all areas of registration and insurance verification related to becoming a new patient at our office.
Justice Stevens Lopez
Front Desk Receptionist
Justice Skye Lopez is the Front Desk Receptionist and is a graduate of Clark High School and also has a certificate as a Medical Assistant from Southern Careers Institute. She is the person that will greet you in the front, as well as schedule your appointments and answer all incoming calls.
Dr. Michael Zeitlin
Dr. Michael Zeitlin is a Geriatric Family Practice Physician at our office. He is in-charge of all medication management services. Dr. Zeitlin accepts the following insurances traditional Medicaid, Aetna Medicaid, Community First Medicaid, Humana PPO and United healthcare PPO. Dr. Zeitlin is not a Psychiatrist but does have experience in prescribing Psychiatric medications, if you’re interested in an appointment for medications, you will need to be evaluated by a licensed professional counselor first and then you can be referred to his services within our same office. He is able to prescribe medications for ADHD, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and Anxiety.
Licensed Counselor/ Marriage & Family Therapist
Ms. Orosco has over 20 years of counseling experienced, working with children, teens, families and couples. She also specializes in working with individuals and families going through the grief process. She has worked with children in the Foster Care System, and dealing with cases monitored by Child Protective Services. She has one son and volunteers at a church running a grief support group.
Scott Siegel, LPS-S

Mr. Scott Siegel is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor with experience in individual and child counseling. He was the owner and founder of his private practice in Austin, Texas. He is currently working full-time at Family Service Association as a Therapist. He has experience in Family, Individual and Child Therapy as well as numerous background in Psychotherapy.
Wilfredo Ortiz, LPC
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Mr. Wilfredo Ortiz has a Masters of Arts in Counseling and a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education. He is a Veteran of the United States Army and served his country for 20 years and provided support to the 21 staff Army Psychiatrists, 49 residents and 5 fellows in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, consultation Liaison Services, Inpatient Psychiatry and Adult Outpatient Psychiatry. He is certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor in June 2016 and is a Certified Teacher specializing in Spanish. He loves working with all populations including young children and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Jackie Chavez, LPC, LPA has over 8 years of clinical experience, which has given her the opportunity to work with diverse groups of individuals in outpatient, inpatient, residential, and private practice settings. Her experience with psychological assessment and counseling allows her to provide her patients the necessary tools towards their road of recovery. She strives to build a trusting relationship with her clients that fosters growth, change, and instills hope. She aims to empower clients to reach their full potential by teaching them skills that will assist them in overcoming the challenges in their everyday lives. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA). She’s currently in her third year of a PhD program in Clinical Psychology. Her speciality consists of Psychological Assessment and Counseling of Children, Adolescents, and Adults. She offers psychological assessment services for ADHD, Autism, Learning Disorder, Personalty disorders and a great scope of behavioral and emotional disorders in children, adolescents, and adults.

Yvette Lisa Ramirez, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor with my Master’s in Human Services with Specialization in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Health Information Management from Texas State University. She is certified through the Texas Department of Health and Human Services in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and currently training in Cognitive Processing Therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is changing and challenging thinking and core beliefs and behaviors to improve Depression, Anxiety, and other symptoms. Cognitive Processing Therapy focuses on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and challenging beliefs and thoughts that have stemmed from a traumatic event. She works Full-time at the Center for Healthcare Services as the Assertive Community Team Clinic Administrator working with consumers recovering from major Depression, Bipolar disorder, Schizoaffective disorder, and Schizophrenia. She facilitate groups, such as, Addressing Trauma through Art and managing Stress and Anxiety. She takes a person centered approach with all her clients and believe that a trusting relationship will be the best way to help recovery.
